Axminster Tools & Machinery were declared ‘Power Tool Supplier of the Year’ at the recent ‘On the Tools’ lavish gala dinner with awards ceremony held at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham.

‘On the Tools’ describes itself as the largest online construction community in the UK. Construction workers throughout the country nominated their favourite brands and companies for this year’s awards. A panel of judges then considered the nominations and narrowed them down to a shortlist of the best companies. The shortlisted companies then went forward to the final stage, with the outcome being decided by votes from the general public.

On the shortlist and competing against Axminster this year were Cromwell Tools, ECA Toolfast, ITS and Toolstop. Axminster would now like to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone out there who voted for them.

Actor and comedian Justin Moorhouse hosted the evening. Justin has appeared on Live At The Apollo, Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled and Coronation Street.

Many other awards were also presented throughout the evening including ‘Power Tool Brand of the Year’, ‘Hand Tool Brand of the Year’, ‘Training Excellence’ and ‘Apprentice of the Year’.
