Axminster announces dates for Leigh jig demos

Axminster Tools & Machinery will be holding a series of demonstrations of the Leigh range of dovetail jigs at its stores throughout 2016.

Just over a year ago, the company agreed a deal with Leigh giving Axminster exclusive rights to sell Leigh products throughout the UK and Ireland. Canadian company Leigh Industries, established over 30 years ago, is the world’s most innovative and highest quality manufacturer of dovetail jigs. The Leigh range includes the award winning D4R Pro, Super Jigs and the RTJ400 Dovetail Jig. All Leigh jigs come with a five year warranty.

The Leigh system can be a complex kit, but it is capable of producing excellent dovetails. A key member of staff in each Axminster store has been specially trained to show just how easy it is to create perfect dovetails. In addition, there will be the opportunity for customers to try before they buy and have their machine set up for free when they actually purchase a Leigh jig.

Anyone wishing to see a Leigh demonstration will be able to do so at the following stores:

• Cardiff – Friday 29 April with Peter Hibbin
• High Wycombe – Saturday 30 April with Chris Kirk
• North Shields – Friday 18 & Saturday 19 March with Steven Taylor
• Nuneaton – Saturday 7 May and Friday 23 & Saturday 24 September with Rob Sheehan
• Sittingbourne – Saturday 18 June with Peter Hibbin
• Warrington – Saturday 5 March with Dave Jones

If you are unable to make one of these events, there is the opportunity to contact your nearest store and arrange for a personal demonstration with a Leigh trained demonstrator.

There will also be a chance later in the year to see Leigh jigs being demonstrated at the North of England Woodworking & Power Tool Show in Harrogate from 18-20 November.
