For outstanding productivity in professional applications such as construction and framing, landscaping, flooring and roofing, residential trim, glazing and joinery/carpentry trades, the DHS780 allows users to repeatedly produce cross cut, mitre, bevel and compound mitre cuts, quickly and easily, with expert precision. The saw also features an adjustable depth stop for accurate trench cuts and housing joints.

Fully adaptable, the DHS780 enables professionals to cross cut, vertically nest, bevel and mitre a wide variety of timber materials, consistently, without unwanted gaps, angles or variation. Its highly durable metal construction with robust Brushless motor and rugged switches ensure a long tool life, yet the saw remains lightweight, compact and portable, enabling it to be transported conveniently to different locations on site with ease.

Thanks to the dual 54V XR FLEXVOLT battery packs, this high-performance saw delivers unrivalled cordless runtime from 108V power (up to 244 cuts, 90 x 45mm structural pine/up to 289 cuts, 90mm skirting board/up to 161 cuts, 100 x 100mm in treated pine), allowing it to be used for extensive periods in any location without the limitation of trailing cables. Providing ultimate flexibility, it is also supplied with an AC adaptor for mains use when needed.

Simple to operate, the DHS780 incorporates quick lock levers and a high visibility bevel scale, and is straightforward to adjust to each application. Engineered for maximum ease of use, the saw features a sliding fence with longer rails that travel back further through the fence, and advanced cut geometry for an improved blade exit angle and clearance through the fence. It also includes fully adjustable hard bevel stops (nine bevel stops), a chicken foot bevel lock knob, a bevel R to L override (49º) and the ability to quickly bevel from side to side.

Protecting the operator from the risk of dust inhalation, the DHS780 comes with a highly efficient DEWALT inline dust deflector assembly, which drives debris down the chute with force from the blade when cutting. The chute is always perpendicular to the blade for additional productivity, and is optimised for both slide and chop cutting.

Integrated into the DHS780 is an XPS™ Cross Cut Positioning System, with a built-in high-intensity LED light that casts the shadow of the blade, indicating the optimum cut location. This efficient system requires no batteries and means no alignment is necessary, and also provides an ambient work light. It can simply be switched on and off when required.

Advanced features

Further advanced features include a mitre pointer on the left hand side of the table for improved visibility, improved dynamics for cutting small stock, a rail lock lever to position the rails for maximum vertical capacity, and a cam-lock with mitre detent override. For added convenience, the mitre saw blades are fast and simple to change, only requiring the supplied blade wrench when replacement is due.
