In this month's Good Woodworking
Martin Aplin makes the cover this month, seen putting the finishing touches to his latest project for Significant Styles. Its a hall table made in the style of the American furniture from the early 20th century as typified by the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright. Its a cracking piece made in American cherry and certainly got an enthusiastic response from the bods at GWs offices.
In Notes from a Small Workshop, Ben Plewes continues with his designs for a computer desk. The designs been made in conjunction with plenty of involvement from the members of gww.com and youll soon be able to see his finalised plans here and even download them should you want to make the table too!
Mafells brand new M55CC plunge saw has made a big impression on Andy in Kit & Tools with an all but faultless performance that will have the opposition smarting. That said, its a hand tool that steals the limelight in this issue as Andy checks out Veritas beautiful new NX60 and DX60 block planes. Handsome is as handsome does, it would seem.
Talking of handsome, on page eight ah, no, lets not go there! Anyway, all this plus all the usual sections firing on all four with plenty of handy tips and helpful how-tos. Oh, and theres a competition to win one of two Triton Series 2000 Workcentre kits. Its all good!
