The latest news is that Hattie Speed will be joining our existing panel of judges – Jeremy Broun, Andrew Lawton & David Barron – which is extremely exciting and also great for the award. 

This new award celebrates the legacy of one of Britain’s most prominent furniture designer-makers of the late 20th century – Alan Peters – while aiming to encourage all talent in the craft of furniture design and making

Hattie seemed like a perfect fit, as she not only injects a much-needed & respected female viewpoint, but is also an award-winning & successful designer, educator, artist, maker as well as founder of on and offline community This Girl Makes.

The award is open to any British Isles-based woodworker, aged 18 or over, who has a passion & talent for designing & making contemporary furniture. Entry deadline is 28 February and you can find out more information by clicking here.
