New Makita drill driver set

• 90Nm impact driver with up to 3000 blows per minute
• 2-speed drill driver will drill 10mm in steel
• 10.8v Lithium-Ion 1.3Ah batteries with intelligent charger.

Makita has introduced a “matched pair” of stylish yet very practical 10.8 volt power tools and the Makita LCT204W kit consists of a two-speed drill driver and an impact driver that delivers 90Nm of torque, capable of driving home a M12 bolt. The kit is marketed in a neat aluminium carry case with a charger and two batteries.

Although diminutive in physical size and weight the DF330D drill driver and the TD090D have a robust feel. Available in the black and white livery chosen previously for the successful “Makita Anniversary” version of the 18v Combi Drill, these two tools are well suited to both the home workshop and on-site installation work.

The drill driver will run up to 1300rpm, has 18 torque settings and 24Nm of torque to drill 21mm in wood and 10mm in steel. Both tools have variable speed triggers and useful LED job lights. The impact driver has a no-load speed up to 2400rpm and will deliver up to 3000 blows per minute and 90Nm capable of driving an M8 machine screw, M10 high tensile bolt and 22-90mm long coarse thread timber screws.

The tools are powered by 10.8v Lithium-ion 1.3Ah batteries and the kit includes a new type of intelligent charger that takes 50 minutes to recharge from flat. This charger reads the battery history and compensates in the charging cycle for any heavy load periods. The charger will also accept the Makita 7.2v Li-ion batteries.

The new Makita LCT204W two-tool set will be available soon.
