The sander weighs only 1.3 kg and its design provides a variety of grip positions. Bosch say these factors make very comfortable use of the tool whether working overhead, on shaped or curved pieces or vertical surfaces.

The GEX 125-1 AE has an integral dust extraction unit in the form of the Bosch micro-filter, capable of retaining even the smallest particles. The system provides over 80 per cent dust collection and its transparent dust box allows the user to see how full it is at any time. With the dust box removed – a simple operation achieved through a practical turn-lock – the user can attach the tool to a vacuum cleaner without having to bother with an adapter.

A setting wheel allows easy control of the sander’s speed, allowing the user to select the appropriate speed for the application. This is especially important, for example, when working on painted surfaces.

The sanding plate diameter is 125 mm and is made of temperature-resistant, white foam designed to last four to five times longer than conventional plates. This also applies to the structure of the Velcro-type fastening material that repels dirt for longer, thus retaining its adhesion characteristics.
