Acquisition of CamVac Extraction Machines & Accessories

Many woodworkers in the UK will be familiar with CamVac dust extraction machines. Until late 2014 the range of CamVac products were manufactured in Fakenham, Norfolk and sold throughout the UK for many years. In October 2014 the CamVac brand and full range of machines and accessories was acquired by Record Power and we are delighted to be continuing to manufacture in the UK at our Chesterfield, Derbyshire based engineering facilities.

In addition to providing woodworkers with high quality extraction products, CamVac extractors are used in a wide range of industrial and professional environments - They are a particular favourite, for example, in the chimney sweeping industry. Record Power are committed to continuing to provide all existing CamVac users with the same high quality products they've become familiar with over the years. All current CamVac machines and accessories will remain in production using the same tooling and manufacturing techniques that have historically made them so successful. In addition, we have introduced our famous industry-leading 5 year guarantee on all products manufactured from 22nd October 2014.

In light of Record Power's initiative to expand our UK manufacturing capacities, the opportunity for us to continue production of CamVac products was too good to miss, being an ideal fit in our long term strategy for development and growth. The majority of the current range of extremely popular Record Power dust extraction machines are also made in the UK, so it made perfect sense to add to our UK made range by bringing CamVac production in-house. To facilitate this, we expanded our existing, and already growing, engineering department and in doing so also created new local jobs. This means that we now carry out manufacturing, quality control, warranty repairs and pre-delivery inspections all under one roof, in the heart of the UK. This gives us a real edge in product quality and customer service, allowing us to respond quickly and efficiently to customers' needs as well as providing unparalleled value and quality of products.
