Classes under the auspices of the Society of Ornamental Turners There will be three competitions open only to members of the Society of Ornamental Turners. 

  • The Lady Gertrude Crawford Gold Medal and £200 for conventional ornamental turning.
  • The Fred Howe Gold Medal and £200 for a combination of ornamental and rose turning.
  • The H. E. Twentyman Silver Medal and £100 for mainly plain form with some ornamentation.

The Medals will be awarded for the best entry by a competitor who has not previously won it.

 

Classes under the auspices of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain Three Plain Turning Competitions open only to members of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain. There are no restrictions as to subject or techniques employed. 

  • The Senior Class will have Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and cash prizes of £200, £150 and £100 plus up to 3 runner­up cash prizes of £50.
  • The Junior Class will have Silver and Bronze medals and cash prizes of £125 and £75 and £50.
  • The Ray Key Competition for juniors who have attended an AWGB Youth Training Day

 

Class Under the auspices of the Association of Pole Lathe Turners

There will be one Pole Lathe Turning Competition open only to members of the Association of Pole-­Lathe Turners to produce a three legged stool. There will be cash prizes of £200, £100 and £50.
