Two new Jet Lathes...

With a reputation for bringing an added dimension to your woodturning, Jet have introduced two new lathes to the UK market via Axminster Tools & Machinery. These lathes will give an impressive performance thanks to their build quality and innovative design and features.

Jet 1640EVS

The Jet 1640EVS (Electronic Variable Speed) woodturning lathe includes a host of features designed to make woodturning even more enjoyable. It is capable of turning bowls up to 420mm in diameter and has 1.12kW of power.

Jet 1840EVS

As the model number suggests, this lathe has a bigger capacity and 1.5kW of power. Having an extended spindle nose that houses dual headstock bearings, it will turn bowls up to 470mm in diameter and accommodate spindles up to 1,016mm in length. An additional useful feature is the magnetic emergency stop button which can be placed on the lathe wherever is most convenient for the user.

Both models have several features in common including infinitely variable speed with a digital display and a 2MT spindle with 36-hole indexing positions. The headstock on both lathes rotates 360° and slides for maximum versatility; the tailstock has acme threads for smooth movement.

These lathes are supplied with a drive centre, revolving tail centre, faceplate, 350mm tool rest, headstock spanner, centre knockout bar and a comprehensive operating manual.

The 1640VS is priced at £2,559.50 inc vat and the 1840VS at £2,909.50 inc vat (prices may be subject to change without notice).
