Win 1 of 5 Kutzall five-piece rotary burr kits – worth over £70 each!
Made in the USA and available to purchase in the UK via Classic Hand Tools, Kutzall burrs provide a great combination of material removal and surface quality. Efficient with or against the grain, these products have a long wear life. Users can expect outstanding performance on a wide range of materials, including wood, plastic, rubber, fibreglass and soft stone.
Heavy material removal
For the ambitious carver who’s ready to tackle a plethora of projects, this kit has everything required. With five of the most versatile shapes and three grades of coarseness, the comprehensive set is designed to take users from the first pass through to their final detail.
The ‘Extreme’ coating option is ideal for those wishing to remove heavy material, and as they’re resistant to clogging up, these burrs are therefore ideal for working with wet or gummy timbers. The diameter and head length dimensions of each Kutzall burr reflects the base dimensions, and the coatings add approximately .060-.102in.
Wide suitability
These burrs are compatible with various popular grinders that accept 1/8in (3mm) collets, or adjustable chucks including those from the following manufacturers: Dremel, Foredom, DeWalt, Milwaukee and more.
With a recommended operating speed range of between 10,000-25,000rpm, the burrs are capable of removing material at lower speeds – hand drills and drill presses, for example – but both the rate of removal and user control will improve as speed increases.
To keep this set in tip-top condition, each burr can be easily cleaned with a quick few passes using a soft wire brush. Safety note: These burrs should only be used on non-metallic materials; heat won’t harm the teeth.
