The Woodworker Magazine

In the Workshop section Jim Phillips is looking at some unusual router jigs you can make and Ian Wilkie is describing more scrollsaw techniques. I am in my workshop discussing various types of drawer and also showing you how to build good solid drawers quickly and with little effort.

When I am not square woodworking I am still playing at turning in the little shed and apart from using my little fingernail as a chisel (Ouch!) things are coming on just fine. The gouge I re-profiled last month gets its first outing and you will be able to see how I got on as I managed to turn yet another bowl! I don’t think my efforts will win any prizes but you can if you enter our turning competition. Full details and an entry form are to be found on page 67. Alan Holtham managed to find time, between bouts of building the workshop for the show, to give us the low-down on split turning and produce a worthwhile project with the result.

All this and more can be found in the March issue of The Woodworker & Woodturner on sale at newsagents from 12th February 2010.
