The nine-month course attracts aspiring furniture makers from across the globe and has gained international acclaim as a training ground for exceptional woodworkers. Providing students with the essential skills and knowledge to successfully establish and run their own furniture making businesses, the Professional Course covers everything from design techniques to marketing strategies.

This year’s course boasts 27 talented students from the UK, Ireland, India, Italy, Germany, Columbia, Chile and Switzerland. Among the exhibiting students is Molly Johnson, who joined the course after an eight-year career as a fashion & home stylist in the USA. The founder of Oddball Studio, Molly’s designs typically include powerful patterns, feel-good textures and bold colours, which make for playful yet striking pieces.
