Fusion Woodworking

This is, of course, the perception rather than the rule. Stereotyping is just as rife in woodworking as it is in every other walk of life. It is true that we all have our preferences, our own comfort zones, if you like. I must nail my flag to the mast here and say that I do prefer the steady progress of a hand crafted piece. The sound and smell of a sharp edge making its way through the wood just cannot compete with the frantic destruction being inflicted by a router, screaming like a banshee, in full flight. Preferences aside, the reality dictates that a combination of both disciplines makes sense.
