A woodcarver from Plymstock, Devon, has been showing his appreciation to the NHS by hand-carving and donating wooden plaques to hospitals. Johnathon Whittaker was inspired to design and carve his first ‘NHS hero plaque’ while out clapping for key workers, one Thursday evening.
