Young maker wanted to win a tool chest

Win a tool chest and a training course with David Savage

For the last two months Good Woodworking magazine has been running a competition in conjunction with David Savage to give young people under 25 the opportunity to apply for a competition to win a chest full of hand tools. Chris Schwarz sells these chests in America for $4000 and David is planning to put the beginnings of a set of woodworker's hand tools in this chest. That's about another £1000. The two finalists would travel to Rowden Farm Workshops at our expense for a one-week Basics training course each worth £750. We are looking for more applications, can you help us put that right?

David commented

"I remember recently looking out from a balcony over a woodworking magazine show and below me was a sea of gentlemen almost all of a certain age, a bit like myself. Well guys like us cannot win this prize but you may know some young person who is interested in making and can apply.

We are looking for a young person under 25 who loves making. Someone who can send us photos of something they have made who may be struggling without tools and working with an electric drill and a hot melt glue gun but not much else. Someone who would really benefit from a tool chest like this at the beginning of their making life".

Applications for this exiting chance to win will be open until the end of November 2015
